In this role, I took ownership of branding and website projects from initial concept through to final execution. I collaborated closely with designers and strategists to shape the visual design and artistic direction for digital ad campaigns, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand experience. I was also responsible for pitching design concepts to clients, addressing their feedback, and refining deliverables to meet their needs and expectations.

In this position, I designed websites, digital, and print advertisements, with a focus on creating visually engaging and effective content. I spearheaded the design for government clients' internal marketing materials, ensuring all branding was aligned with client guidelines. I was also responsible for maintaining color accuracy, image quality, and the overall precision of advertisements, preparing design files for production and ensuring they met high standards for delivery

In this role, I conceptualized and designed custom murals, graphics, and event branding for political candidates' speaking engagements and campaign rallies, helping to create a cohesive and impactful visual identity for each event. I also designed literature to encourage voter participation, including materials to help Americans make a plan to vote. Additionally, I created still and animated graphics for social media, printed literature, yard signs, logos, and apparel, all aimed at informing and mobilizing voters in support of the campaign.

I explored the intersection of branding and the built environment. This experience helped me embrace multidisciplinary thinking, allowing me to approach design challenges from diverse perspectives and craft solutions that are both impactful and meaningful.

During my MFA program, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Sicily, where I immersed myself in textiles, design, ceramics, and architecture. I researched how the patterns and layers from various ruling cultures are reflected in the island’s architecture, gaining a deep understanding of cultural storytelling through design. And, of course, I indulged in Sicilian food :)

I matriculated at Howard University, where I studied design for advertising and minored in architecture, graduating at the top of my design class. This foundation shaped my approach to design, blending creativity with strategic thinking and an appreciation for both visual communication and architectural principles.
